Study at your own pace, around duty rosters and operations. You’ll have 6 months of access to all modules, so you can revisit lessons, complete assignments, and apply concepts on the job without time pressure. Two live sessions consolidate learning through practice and debrief.

Module outline
• General Principles: Foundations of human factors and CRM objectives.
• Individual Crew Member: Enhancing personality awareness, managing fatigue and stress, and building assertiveness.
• Flight Crew: Understanding automation philosophy and type-related differences in helicopter operations.
• Entire Air Crew: Improving shared situational awareness, workload management, decision-making and effective Communication between Air Crew.
• LIVE Session: 3 hours (without breaks). Maximum six (6) participants.
Participation & requirements
Self studies: self-studies completed before Live
Minimum enrollment: 4 confirmed participants; maximum: 6 per live session
Languages: Materials in English; live sessions in EN / FI / SWE
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Registration deadline: typically one week before Live Session (e.g., 16 Feb 2026 for the February session).
Reschedule window: you may reschedule up to 48 hours before Live to the next public session (e.g., April 2026).
No-shows / late cancellations (<48h): counted as attended and not refundable
If minimum enrollment (4) is not met: we will move your seat to the next public session or refund — your choice
Private courses: operate under separate terms

Trainer Ralf Molander is currently the commander of a FinnHEMS medical helicopter and has a long background in helicopter operations.
Ralf completed the MSc in Human factors and system safety course at Lund University in 2012-2014 and currently works as an authorized Crew Resource Management trainer.
